It's a serene place to enjoy the rural surroundings and the peaceful atmosphere. Leaving the monastery, we'll drive on rough tracks to the highest peak on Thassos - Mount Ipsarion. It's quite a mountain, rising to 1204m, one of the highest points in the Aegean islands. From here, the views take in the whole island and extend to the mainland too. We'll enjoy a simple refreshment stop while drinking in the panorama.On the way back down from the top, on tracks surrounded by wild vegetation and wonderful scenery, we'll stop at the settlement of Theologos to take in the springs and waterfall. Local rules in Theologos aim to preserve the village's traditional appearance - you'll notice the harmonious architecture as you take a short walking tour through the ancient lanes of the village, and finish with a drink in Neromilos.

Journey back in time as you visit three traditional Thassian mountain villages. Begin with a scenic drive to the old capital, Theologos, where you'll wander the cobbled streets and get a feel for the authentic Greek way of life. Wind around the coast up to Sotiros, before heading to Kazaviti for more sightseeing and a refreshing stop at a local tavern. Your final stop is the beach at Skala Prinos, where you can embrace the zen-like peace and quiet with an optional yoga class. Or, simply relax on the sand.

Take a guided walking tour of Panagia Village in Thassos. You'll meet your guide at a cosy taverna in the village, before setting off on a scenic walk along a path lined with olive groves and pine trees. After about an hour, you'll arrive at the hillside Church of St Stefanos, which offers panoramic views of Thassos town and the Aegean Sea. Here, you'll take a break and tuck into a tasty brunch under the pine trees, before continuing your walk for another hour to wrap up the hike.

Get stuck into a Greek cooking class in the village of Potamia, famous for its traditional stone houses. Guided by a local chef, you'll learn how to make authentic Greek fare and master techniques passed down through generations. While your meal is roasting, you'll take a stroll through the village to the Vagis Museum. Here, you'll see the artwork and sculptures of Thassian Vagis, a renowned Greek-American sculptor born in Potamia. Finally, you'll return the restaurant to dine on the lunch you prepared earlier.
