On our regularly scheduled, guided group tours we offer you an entertaining mix of history, stories, fun facts and useful alternative tips about your stay in Zimbabwe.
In this Victoria Falls City Tour, I will be taking you around downtown with its historic train station. We will be going to the famous Victoria Falls Hotel where you can admire the view of the Victoria Falls Bridge.
We continue walking for about 15 minutes on a path thru the bush, where we might encounter wildlife such as Impalas, warthogs, and Baboons.
Once we have reached another spectacular panoramic site, you will have the photo opportunity of the gorge, the mighty Zambezi, and the bridge.
From there we will return to the point of origin of the tour.
Note: This tour costs $55 Usd per person
Includes park fee, fuel, operating fees, pickup, drop-off, beer and water.

After pickup from your hotel, hostel or Airbnb, we begin with a safari around Victoria Falls' historic sites, including the train station and Victoria Falls Hotel. Our licensed safari guide will also point out restaurants, bars, local markets and sights you'll see along the way.
From there we continue our bush safari where you will learn about the flora and fauna of the area, as well as the rich and colorful history and culture of Zimbabwe. After observing nature and wildlife between the town and the Zambezi Gorge, our tour will include a short and exciting stop to take in the view of the gorge and the mighty Zambezi River. If you are lucky, you will be able to witness tightrope activities such as gorge swinging or zip lining and possible white water rafting or power boat activity through the Zambezi rapids.
Back on the Safari Jeep, we will continue through the bush and look for more wildlife, before stopping for a beer at the rock pool on the banks of the Zambezi River, just above Victoria Falls, the spray is visible from there. We then continue to the large baobab tree and learn about its history. You will have time to take pictures and buy some local crafts at a small local market next to the tree.
We continue looking for animals and continue with the vulture experience.
.
For the last 19 years or so, guests and visitors to the area have been able to witness the “Vulture Culture” experience.
Opposite the hostel bar, down a dirt path through dry bushes, is a “hide”: a viewing platform with concrete benches for sitting, covered by a canopy of branches for shade.
First you will receive information about the plight of endangered birds and their ecological importance.
Then the vulture guide carries a gunny sack with heads, legs and remains of beef, chickens, wild boars (whatever the chef doesn't use in the lodge kitchen) onto a patch of red dirt.
He then throws away the pieces of the corpse and quickly runs away.
The vultures, which for an hour had been flying from miles around and gathering in the nearby trees, suddenly appear.
It's quite a sight to see them shatter into bloody pieces!
You can even hear the whistle of their big flapping wings (they have a wingspan of one meter) as they push and shove each other to get to the food.
The ugly red-headed birds are hooded vultures, while the others are mainly white-backed vultures.
The feeding we saw attracted over 200 vultures (typical). And it all ended pretty quickly: in about 20 minutes…
Once the feeding is finished and the vultures return to the wild, we will take you back to the point of origin.
