Walking the hidden city and a forest park in the heart of 12 millions inhabitants !
Starting from sky train Nana (BTS), we will explore the area and little hidden Arabic square, on our way to the infamous Nana street (hidden bars) with a quick look at Phloen Chit Market, under the highway.
That sector leads us to the new Benjakitti forest park, where a walkway goes through the wetland, as originally was here.
We will get a glimpse at the beautiful lake in the park, to end up on Sukhumvit / Asok road, at the gigantic Terminal 21 (BTS) Asok, where this vibrant city regains its vitality !
Experience Bangkok with me, as the people use to. It's a urban stretch and park walk, we are strolling in the city like locals and we see what tourist usually don’t.
There is no tourist stuff here, no backpackers, you are in the heart of Bangkok. If you have already done most of the traditional visit and wonder what to do more, this walk is for you !
Let discover one of the biggest market in South-East Asia, Khlong Toei, Bangkok !
We will first start our journey by experiencing the Metro (MRT Hua Lamphong will cost 27 Bath), to arrive near the market. We will first cross the impressive FYI Center to continue our way through the small alleys of the market. Here, we stroll along the fruits, the vegetables, the seafood, the clothes and more !
We are here mainly to admire and to take pictures.
(There is live chicken and fish here)
As local people are constantly working and going around, we can not make stops all the time along the stalls. We will stop and discuss about what we see later on.
After our time in the market, we will cross a huge intersection to end up in the modern PARQ building for cool down and toilet stop.
This walk is for the MARKET LOVERS. You can also going back to the market after our walk, as we finish just near by, at the Queen Sirikit Metro station.
We do not visit any temple or shrine or touristy stuff here. Its really a market walk, and also to learn about the daily life that is going on here in Bangkok.
