Tours & Activities in Valencia
We propose a trip through 2,000 years of Valencia's history. Will you sign up?
We will begin this guided tour of Valencia in the Plaza de la Virgen , the heart of the historic center of the city. Under our feet the city of Valentia was founded by the Romans. Around us we will discover the Cathedral , the Basilica of the Virgin and the fountain that represents our Turia river with its irrigation ditches.
We will talk about two important traditions that take place at this point: the floral offering to the Virgen de los Desamparados during the Fallas and the meetings of the Water Tribunal (Intangible Heritage of Humanity). Along with the religious and spiritual power of the city we also find the nucleus of political power: the Palau de la Generalitat .
But Valencia is much more! Its captivating streets smell of orange blossom and tell us about a rich past, legends, curiosities, tradition, heritage and a living folklore ...
We will reach the Serranos Towers , the main access gate to the walled city, and we will look out over the old bed of the Turia River, converted into a green lung for the city.
We will continue our way to the Lonja de la Seda or Lonja de los Mercaderes, a symbol of the prosperity and commercial influence that Valencia experienced during the 16th century, a true architectural gem!
From the 15th century we will jump to the 20th century and almost without leaving our location to delight in the modernist architecture of the Central Market of Valencia, ready to discover the Cathedral of the Senses? This magnificent space is dedicated to the sale of the highest quality fresh produce and is the largest specialty market in all of Europe.
And there is nothing as ESSENTIAL as revealing its appetizing and abundant gastronomy . Do you know the authentic recipe for Valencian paella? What is Valencian white gold?
We will culminate our guided tour in the Plaza Redonda, with many recommendations so that you can continue enjoying your experience in Valencia.
This visit to the Historic Centre is the best way to discover the main monuments of Valencia. In a pleasant visit, we will talk about history, culture, legends and connect the city's past with the present.
From Gothic to Baroque, from narrow streets to wide squares . The aim is not only to better understand the city, but also to find your way around it, with recommendations on places to visit, where to eat and where to go out at night.
Please note that we are local guides and know our city like the back of our hand. Don't hesitate to ask us anything that interests you, we are here to help and guide you on your visit.
