What is the connection between Pamplona and Star Wars?
I could tell you, but you will have to take a walk with me....
My intimate, personal tour takes you along paved streets built on top of a fortress wall, to public squares, while wandering statues and legendary stories enrich the city's history, following in the footsteps of Romans, fallen heroes and a lot of bull, with a viewpoint over a green river valley, so you will be able to live Pamplona's heritage and see it through my eyes.
Being a lover of good gastronomy, I would also love to introduce you to my favourite wintery treat: hot chocolate and churrus. Otherwise a delightful pinxto or three...
My goal is to let you understand why we run in front of bulls, and not behind, but also so you see that Pamplona is more than just the running of the bulls.

We will make a two-hour tour visiting the most emblematic places of Historical Pamplona. We will visit the three hamlets of the old city, leaving the monument to the running of the bulls and ending at the cathedral.
Along the way we will walk along the Camino de Santiago and the route of the running of the bulls.
We will visit the comptos chamber and the Churches of San Saturnino and San Nicolás , and we will enjoy the atmosphere of the Old Town and especially the Plaza del Castillo.

The capital of the old kingdom has stood proud for centuries and its streets keep secrets that only the true Pamplonicans know. Discover the first Basques who founded it, watch the arrival of the Roman legions, fight against the Franks and Visigoths, follow in the footsteps of the kings who established the kingdom of Navarre and the knights who defended it, listen to the echoes of wars and revolts, accompany Heminway in his excursions and outrages in San Fermin, and lastly, tie your red scarf around your neck, roll up your newspaper, adjust the laces of your shoes and... immerse yourself in the route of the running of the bulls hand in hand with a runner. Hear the clamor of the people, the rumor of the herd approaching, make your way, place yourself on the antlers, listen to the rumble of the hooves and the snorts of the horned ones behind you...! and retire after the race to make way for the other runners! You dare?

If you hear about Pamplona, the first thing that probably comes to mind is the San Fermin festival, but what if I told you that it is a city with more than 3,000 years of history, marked by its strategic location and the countless conflicts that have existed within its imposing walls?
We will begin our tour in the heart of the city, Plaza del Castillo, and then visit the most emblematic places of the festivities, the town hall and Cuesta de Santo Domingo, the Mercaderes curve and the famous Estafeta street.
We will talk about medieval Iruña with the church of San Saturnino, the Cathedral and the Rincón de Caballo Blanco.
We will end by taking a short tour of the walls, from the Baluarte del Redín to the Portal de Francia. Our last destination will be the Archivo de Navarra, where we will briefly summarize everything we have seen so far, and you will realize that Pamplona is much more than its main festivals.

Something that we have realized is IMPORTANT ; and some people book several freetours with different guides, in Pamplona because of the name, a priori, they are different... I'm sorry to tell you that NO, they are practically the same, so even if the title changes, it is most likely that You hear something similar on both tours and you don't like the one you do second (because it's repetitive).
