We'll meet right in the center at Hurbanovo Námestie, in front of the white church with stairs.
After the introduction, we’ll hit up the streets of Bratislava, hopping on different themed pubs, and tasting various kinds of beer, wine, and of course, some shots (depending on your choice). Upon request, you can also try some traditional Slovak food bites/snacks that pair perfectly with the drinks. Please note that this is not an official dinner, just snacks.
I am happy to explain more about our culture, traditions, must-sees, and dos in Bratislava, as well as our traditional drinks. This tour is about getting to know Bratislava while enjoying its bites and drinks!
The pubs and bars we'll be visiting are different-themed, so you will enjoy a different experience with every pub we visit. Actually, some of them are favorites among Slovaks, and I'm confident you'll enjoy them too. Most importantly, there's no rushing; we'll take our time at each stop, allowing you to snap memorable photos if you want. You'll end your tour with a unique Slovak experience.
In Slovakia, prices are really good compared to Western Europe, so you'll enjoy yourself without spending much! However, please have some cash ready for the evening, as cash payments are often the only choice in local bars
We can visit, for example:
- Traditional old house pub
- Breweries awarded for quality
- Alternative places popular with both internationals and locals
Note for travellers:
This is not a typical pub crawl. The experience is customized for a more relaxed pace, rather than rushing between places. In rare cases, we might modify the time or cancel the tour if there are four or fewer bookings. We usually decide 24 hours in advance, so guests have enough time to find a suitable replacement for their plans.
Of course, you can insist and offer a nice tip to reconsider by messaging us, making it worth our time and dedication. If you cannot spare a fair tip, please consider booking another tour. After COVID-19, Slovak tourism still needs time to recover, and we invest a lot of effort and money into ads, marketing, drinks, etc. Even though we love meeting cool fellow travelers, we can work at our backup jobs and earn fair money there. Thank you very much for understanding.
Important note:
Due to the recent experience with last-moment cancellations, we would kindly ask you to confirm your attendance, otherwise your booking may not be considered!
We look forward to showing you the best of Bratislava!
On this tour you will explore the alternative, not so nice, history of Slovakia and Bratislava. During 50 years of the 20th century, we were a dictatorship. During the 2nd world war, the country of Slovakia was on the side of the axis, and after the war we became the eastern block, however both regimes hurt many people. We will visit the monuments, squares (Stalin Square, Gottwald Square), unique buildings (upside down pyramid), last standing synagogue and many more. (There is some reconstruction near the sites we visit, please keep this in mind)
