We have over 50 years combined experience working and living at the Great mesoamerican reef here in Mahahual Costa Maya. We offer expertise on environmental conditions, as well as flora and fauna in the area, and our tours are always provided in English and in Spanish. Our tour includes semi-professional snorkeling equipment (all cleaned and sanitized before and after every use) including fins, certified life vests, and a certified guide who will also take underwater photos of your experience as a courtesy. We offer snacks to enjoy right on the boat! We provide water, beer, sports drinks and, with online reservations, our own La Leyenda Craft Beer for free. Our beach is next to “Hotel 40 Cañones”, where you are free to lounge on the beach, use our kayaks and paddle boards.

The Mayan Ruins of Chacchoben are the most popular and visited attraction to spend a great day on the Costa Maya. It is approximately 55 minutes by car from the Port of Costa Maya. This site is located a few kilometers from the town of Chacchoben from which its name is derived. The translation of the Mayan word "Chacchoben" refers to "The Place of Red Corn." The structures at this site are characterized by large temples and enormous platforms dating back to 700 AD. c.
