We'll begin at the Plateau de Bourbon in Place Metz, where we'll see the State Central Bank and savings bank building. Then we'll cross the Adolphe Bridge and enjoy the beautiful views of the Petrusse Valley, admiring the fortresses and military barracks from the French era.
Next, we will make a stop at Constitution Square, where you will see the Golden Lady memorial, which honors the war heroes.
Nearby is the Luxembourg Cathedral of Saint Mary, which combines Renaissance, Neo-Gothic and Baroque styles.
We will continue to the Memorial to Duchess Charlotte in Claire Fontaine Square, dedicated to the city's beloved queen. Afterwards, we will visit the Chamber of Deputies and the Gallery of Sovereigns. Later, we will admire the Grand Ducal Palace and the Royal Guard.
We will continue towards the Town Hall Square and the memorial dedicated to Duke William II. We will then follow the Palace Promenade, lined with bars and restaurants, where we will discuss traditional foods, wines, spirits, and local beers.
Afterwards we will visit the Fish Market, the old gastronomic district, and the Church of San Miguel, in the Romanesque-Baroque style.
Later, we'll explore the Bock Casemates and the Castle of Count Siegfried, the city's founder, in the Alzette Valley. We'll also see the Pfaffenthal and Holy Spirit elevators.
We will enjoy the Great Balcony of Europe from the Chemin de la Corniche and a medieval legend next to the statue of Melusine.
Finally, we will go down to the Grund district to visit Neumünster Abbey and the Church of St. John the Baptist, where you will see the “Black Madonna”.
