We will meet at the appointed time in Rue des Ètats, near the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany . We will get to know Jules Verne's birthplace while the guide tells us about the most important moments of this city on the Loire.
First, we will admire the castle, an impressive 13th-century fortress . We will continue the free tour by visiting the Tour Lu , a former biscuit factory that has now become a cultural centre for the people of Nantes.
From there we will continue walking to admire the Nantes Cathedral, whose similarity to the famous Notre Dame in Paris is obvious . Another of the places that the tour will take us to is the Maréchal Foch square , where we will see the enormous column of Louis XVI, also known as the Column of Liberty.
We will walk along the main artery of the French city, Cours des 50 Otages, which will take us directly to the Tour de Bretagne skyscraper . Nearby is the Basilica of Saint Nicholas and the Place Royale , presided over by the statue of Anne of Brittany. We will cross the Pommeraye passage, a large shopping gallery whose decoration will take you back in time.
We will continue to admire the beauty of the centre of Nantes as we stop at Place Graslin and Cours Cambronne, two perfect places to reaffirm the charm of this city.
After a tour of approximately two hours and 15 minutes, we will conclude the free tour by admiring other emblematic points of Nantes.
