The tour is perfect for all visitors who like architecture/art.
It is also an excellent choice for those who either already have taken my 'Zagreb beyond the guidebooks - Upper Town' tour or any other Zagreb Upper Town tour but want to see what else Zagreb offers.
At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, European and American urban culture gave birth to two stylistic expressions – Art Nouveau and Art Déco.
Art nouveau is recognized by its wavy, natural lines that imitate a flower at the moment of blooming, while Art déco brings cooler symmetry, glamor and strictness of geometric shapes.
This tour is easy to walk, since there is no stairs like in Upper Town.
This tour includes:
Jurišićeva street 2 (very close to the main city square)
- the start of the tour
Ban Jelačić Square

Square of Republic of Croatia

Lifestyle and History of Zagreb Tour
But history is not only about wars and violence (although there is a lot of that), but also about food, lifestyle, and culture.
I am also interested in answering any questions about nightlife in Zagreb. Where do young people go out? Where is the food tasty and not too expensive?
The Tour includes:
Zagreb Cathedral (meeting point)
Opatovina
Dolac
Tkalčićeva ulica
Krvavi most
Kamenita vrata
Popov toranj
After the tour, we can go down to Jelačić Square together.
Let us walk through the streets of Zagreb together and enjoy Zagreb together.
How did Zagreb come to be what it is? Was it really excluded from the rest of european history for most of its existence? How did it come to have two distinct parts, Upper and Lower Town? Which building in Zagreb originally stood in Budapest and which monument in Paris? What was the cause of a riot in 1910? What did the people of Zagreb bet on once?
This tour tells the story of the development of Zagreb, focusing on the period around 1900, on the creation of its landmarks, the ideas behind the layout of the city, as well as the scandals and gossip hiding behind the stately facades and the riots and unrest of that era, things that usually go unmentioned.
It takes the tourist from the Main Railway Station up to the cathedral and back down to the State Archive, where it ends.
If you are interested in hearing what most guides often don't say, love social and cultural history, art history and architecture, this is the tour for you, I promise.
