Note: Visits to Mercado Puerto, the Barrio Puerto tour, and the view of La Matriz are available from Tuesday to Saturday and are subject to availability. This tour may be canceled in case of heavy rain or events that result in the closure of Plaza Sotomayor.

History, art and local culture are the essence of this tour. We begin at the Civic Plaza of Valparaíso, in front of the city hall building. From there, we will explore emblematic hills of the city, learning about its history and society through murals, graffiti (street art) and galleries of local artists.
We will observe the different styles and social themes that have been captured on the city's walls. We will also visit at least two art galleries where we will meet artists who represent urban, academic and experimental art.
This is complemented by the labyrinthine route through its alleys, stairs, funiculars and viewpoints , which tell us about the history of this mythical port also known as Valpo or the jewel of the Pacific .
Finally, we will arrive at the Yugoslav promenade where the Baburizza Palace is located, which today houses the city's fine arts museum and an interesting history behind it .

The tour begins at the Prat dock to observe the port dynamics, of what was the main port in Chile. Don't miss our old photos! From this place we will move to Plaza Sotomayor where the origin of the buildings and the monument will be explained, making reference to the related historical facts. Then we will head towards the Plaza de la Justicia, we will see part of the financial street and we will cross to take the elevator. The traveler can get a panoramic view of the city and the hills using this unique transportation. We will walk through Cerro Concepción and Cerro Alegre, places where you can see the French, Italian, Croatian, German, English heritage among other nationalities. Visiting ancient places located among the narrow streets will immerse you in the cultural atmosphere of a bohemian city. You will enjoy artisans, muralism, colonial houses and interventions in public spaces that demonstrate the will to maintain tradition and rescue local cultural values. The restaurants, cafes, art galleries, shops and artisans will allow you to take home a pleasant memory of a charming city.
If you take my tour, I'll show you the most interesting areas of Valparaíso , and we'll be able to appreciate together some of my passions: muralism, history, and drawing.
We will organize the experience as follows:
1) We will meet at Plaza Aníbal Pinto
2) We will visit the historic and commercial center of the city
3) We will climb Cerro Alegre and Concepción
4) We will go down the Reina Victoria Elevator
5) We will return to Plaza Aníbal Pinto
This can take between 2 to 3 hours depending on your climbing pace.

Our tour begins in Plaza Sotomayor, a historic area of the city located in the port sector, then we walk to Cerro Alegre to visit viewpoints with beautiful views, appreciating the architecture of houses and museums. We will take pictures and continue walking through Cerro Concepción between hidden stairs and colorful streets with very interesting murals and graffiti to reach a very special and fun elevator with a beautiful view that will be our final tour learning about the cultural and musical history of this traditional neighborhood from colonial times until today when it is an area of bars, restaurants and cultural movements with a lot of local identity.
This tour is especially aimed at people who like to share stories and above all enjoy history, art and culture accompanied by a very attentive, friendly local Guru guide with a strong connection to music, arts, history and the identity of Valparaíso.
We can also make route changes depending on the interest of the Walkers, the best thing about each Tour is to accompany, discover new places and deliver the best tour experience to the passengers.
