The Bremer Canyon is the only place in Australia where tourists can experience large pods of killer whales, who are active in only one location. Departs at 9am from Emu Point Boat pens for 4 hours of wild life history and fun. This is a sheltered water cruise with no open sea. We cross to Green Island which was Western Australia’s first vegetable garden and is now home to one of only four Pelican breeding grounds in Western Australia. Then cross Oyster Harbour to the Kalgan River. Seen regularly are Pelicans Eagles Hawks and a wide range of other bird life. Stopping on the banks of the river we get into a motorised wagon where we get up close and personal to Kangaroos in the wild. You are served Tea Coffee and a hot savoury Damper while listing to a live and humorous commentary. Returning across the harbour to the boat pens at 1pm. Oh yes did I mention it’s FUN?

In 1914 over 41,000 service men and women left from Albany bound for World War I. For many this would be the last time they saw home. Today at this very location stands the state-of-the-art award winning National Anzac Centre which uses multimedia, interactive technology and historical artifacts to create a deeply personal connection with the past, as well as pay tribute to those who served. Through traditional museum display and highly interactive multi-media content, visitors assume the identity of one of 32 actual service men or women, and follow their experience of the Great War: From recruitment, through training and embarkation, ship-board life on the convoys, the conflicts at Gallipoli, the Middle East, and the Western Front. Finally, for those lucky enough to survive, you will witness their return home and the difficulties they faced adjusting back into normal society.

Take in the 360 degree views of the coastline from the summit of Stony Hill in the Torndirrup National Park.  From here, amidst the pristine bushland, it is possible to see the vast expanse of the Southern Ocean and the rugged coastlines that early explorers first encountered as they rounded the peninsula for the sheltered waters of Princess Royal Harbour.  Get closer to the edge! At The Gap, feel the power of the wind and water from the masterfully crafted, protected walkway.  See the pounding waves as they thrash the granite walls and surge into the spaces below. Then, enter into Albany's Historic Whaling Station, the only station open to the public in the world. See Australia’s south coast whaling story come to life.  Climb aboard a famous whale chaser to experience life on board an actual whaling ship, and learn from movies, photos, and artifact galleries.  You will marvel at the enormous whale skeletons on display. Relax with morning tea/coffee and cake overlooking the ocean. Your 30min journey back to Albany, curves around Princess Royal Harbour to where you started.
