Our Sandwich Harbour tour is +- 4 hours, we do not rush our clients. You will be picked up at your accommodation at an arranged time by one of our guides, from there you just relax, enjoy and let us show you a piece of our beautiful country. This trip starts off with the flamingos at the Walvis Bay Lagoon, drive past the salt works and the famous ‘pink water” continued with a beach drive before we enter the Namib - Naukluft Park and Sandwich Harbour. Please feel free to ask your guide to stop for pictures anytime. We will have a 30 min break somewhere in the dunes where we will serve you some refreshments and a light lunch or breakfast should it be an early morning tour. We collect our guests at their accommodation free of charge, in Swakopmund and along the coast to Walvisbay. All other companies want you to use or find your own transport to Walvisbay. We include a light lunch and drinks. We use new modern unsinkable Kayaks easy for anybody to use and that do not capsize. Everybody gets a life jacket and the guide will coach you on the use of the Kayak. No previous experience required. Its a must do for the active traveler. The Namibian South-Atlantic west coast is famously dangerous with foggy weather, many reefs, strong Benguela Current and swells. It is shrewn with countless remains of dead ships. One of these is the Shawnee a transport tug that ran aground on 16 February 1976, 15 miles north of Conception Bay. Another is the wreck of the Eduard Bohlen passenger and cargo ship, that ran aground south of Conception Bay on 5 September 1909 in thick fog and now lie about 600m inland.
