The proposal places us in what is now San Carlos de Bariloche .
Yesterday the Nahuel Huapi region, an area of glacial geography close to the Andes Mountains.
Meeting area where those from here and those from there transferred cultural and material elements, giving rise to Vurilofche today called Bariloche , the most visited city in Argentine Patagonia.
Our tour focuses on the 20th century , when a company with German capital took absolute commercial power in the region.
What did they trade? What route did they use? What is the link between the city and the Old Continent?
We will look for answers in the European legacy of Bariloche , discovering constructions along the way that still bear witness to this logging era. We will see the most relevant constructions built since the creation of the National Park without overlooking the stories and legends related to the Nazis . who took refuge in this area of Argentina.
During the Tour through "the Patagonian jewel" we will learn through old photographs the great evolution that Bariloche experienced , from being a town to become one of the main tourist destinations in Argentina.
On the guided tour we begin by walking along the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi, making geolocation and presenting the lake in numbers. Later, with the eyes of the architects who created it, we will see the Civic Center and the administration of the National Park with a brief visit to its gardens and then meet the Club Andino Bariloche and the surrounding buildings that testify of the town that was and the secrets that it hides
Up the hill we go to the neighborhood where the suspicions of neighbors closely related to National Socialism were confirmed, then there are winding streets and stairs that take us to the neo-Gothic Cathedral . The temple was designed by Alejandro Bustillo , one of the most prominent Argentine architects in the first half of the 20th century.
