This is a historical tour in which you will visit the most important monuments of the city of Antigua Guatemala , learning about its history, architecture and very important facts.
You will learn about the different foundations of the city and its different moves in the history of Santiago de Goathemala, important people, as well as the different events that influenced it.
Its conservation process, the way it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979, the interpretation of the architectural facades and much more.
THEME OF THE TOUR AND WHO IS IT FOR?
The Tour is Oriented to History and Architecture, aimed at anyone who really likes history, architecture and art history. *
It is not suitable for children under 12 years old since due to the type of tour they tend to get frustrated very easily.

The tour starts at 9:30 am. I ask for punctuality since arriving late will delay the tour and the rest of the group.
If you cannot come to the tour on time, it is better to cancel ❌ ❌ in advance so as not to delay the tour.

Around Antigua there are exceptional towns such as Santa María de Jesus and San Juan del Obispo. Both have been declared "picturesque villages"
Santa María de Jesús is an authentic Mayan village, with its market around the square and its natural surroundings, the Agua volcano. The square and its syncretic church where you can observe rites and religious expressions mixed together. Local weddings, baptisms and communions in the Mayan style. Something out of the ordinary.
San Juan del Obispo: A 16th century town founded by Bishop Francisco Marroquín where you can visit his old palace, the plaza and his Church from 1543. The beautiful surroundings and views of the Panchoy Valley and Antigua Guatemala are also available, as well as the beautiful views of the Botanical Garden and the exceptional volcanoes of Agua, Fuego and Acatenango.
To finish off, you will have the unique experience of being able to participate in the process of making artisanal chocolate with a local family dedicated to this craft, as well as tasting fruit liqueurs.
